2d Shape week!!
This week we have been learning about 2D shapes. We have spent time thinking about what they look like and how we can describe them. We went outside on the playground and used the chalks to draw the shapes that we knew- we had a really good try!!
We then came in and had to make a super shape crown and tell Mrs Shaw-Giles or Mrs Wallis the shapes we had used.

We have been working hard to learn our numbers up to 20 this week and have enjoyed ordering them. Mrs Shaw-Giles was being cheeky and kept pinching numbers from the number line, we then had to tell her which number was missing. We all tried hard to justify our answers and explain our thinking.

Welcome to our super class!!
We have had a busy over the last few weeks settling in and have enjoyed lots of activities together. As part of our topic 'All about me' we have been painting self portraits, creating pictures of our families and also thinking about our favourite foods.
We have all worked hard to learn how to use our class choosing board and also how we behave in and around the school. We have spent lots of time learning classroom routines and developing our independence.
We are very much looking forward to showing you some of our super learning!!!

During Science Week, the Smartest Giant in Town came to our class and told us that his head always gets wet in the rain. He asked us to test different materials to find out which would be best for making a waterproof hat. Here are some pictures of our investigation.
